Love is in the air

By Cassandra Tyndall

Cosmic lovers Venus and Mars continue their rare tango across the sky. February saw Mars encroach upon Venus and now Venus captures Mars. As the goddess of love and beauty dominates Mars, the god of war, she may offer a soothing balm to escalating tensions. Venus’ nature is to bring connection, cohesion and togetherness. While Mars can add a spark of passion, he’s also renowned for his divisive qualities.

In a certain relationship, finding the right balance between togetherness and independence, action and passivity, love and war, can be a constant juggle. If you find yourself continually looping around the same cycles, you may need to get to the crux of an issue. Is there a wound between you that has never fully healed? Do you need more trust, intimacy and honesty? Are there games of power, control and manipulation?

An honest conversation may be needed that includes discussing boundaries and laying the “where to from here” path ahead. The good news is that both Venus and Mars will dance together into a new sign. At best, cool heads may prevail. At worst, a certain level of detachment may prompt you to forget what you’re fighting for in the first place.

Shopping for clothes in the ‘60s

April 16, 2025
My friend, Diana, told me recently that she likes to try on clothing before she buys it. I totally agree! However, that option is becoming less available as brick-and-mortar stores close.
