Signs of light

By Cassandra Tyndall

Among many things, astrology is the study of light. As planets traverse through the sky, they reveal different levels of light, depending on which part of the cycle they’re in. It’s no different to the way the Moon waxes into brightness, and then recedes into darkness.

This week, the Sun and Jupiter form an alignment that signals the return of Jupiter stepping out from the shadows. This may encourage you to find a sense of hope, optimism and faith, especially if it’s felt as though all hope had gone. While there are still some other tricky astrological alignments to deal with, Jupiter moving forward signifies that progress regarding something you believe in is possible. It also begins the final chapter of generous and benevolent Jupiter’s year-long journey in Capricorn, a sign it is not happy to be in.

A New Moon in Virgo may assist you in getting organized either physically, mentally or both. A fresh start around health and wellbeing rituals is promised. Attending to paperwork, logistics or decluttering your home or office can help you feel organized and promote efficiency.

As this lunation interacts with stabilizing Saturn, any fresh starts, new goals or manifestations embarked upon this week are likely to last.

Shopping for clothes in the ‘60s

April 16, 2025
My friend, Diana, told me recently that she likes to try on clothing before she buys it. I totally agree! However, that option is becoming less available as brick-and-mortar stores close.
