Incubate your plans and dreams

By Cassandra Tyndall

This week is one of my favorite weeks of the year as we build up to the first New Moon of the astrological New Year. So, in some ways, you could say that this is the dark before dawn. It’s the time to incubate your plans, dreams and goals that you’d like to see blossom over the next 12 months.

On Friday, April 1, at 2:24 a.m., the Moon will fuse with the Sun, symbolizing bright new beginnings. This is the week to decide what you want to initiate. Fortunately, with Venus and Saturn also fusing as the week begins, you can get very clear about what you want. This might mean having to draw the proverbial line in the sand about what and whom you’re available for as well as what and whom you’re not. The chance arrives to mend any cracks and recommit to what matters. So does the chance to come to the conclusion that a certain situation is no longer working and it’s time to end things in a mature way. If you’ve been caught between a rock and a hard place in recent weeks, finally, you’ll get the chance to make a choice and start afresh — one way or another.

Short poles

May 7, 2025
It never felt like this before. My chest was in the right position and wasn’t getting bounced backward every few turns. My right shoulder wasn’t getting jammed into itself with every pole plant, forcing my torso up and my entire body to stretch out. That beautiful extension that forces me to then retract everything while…

A cut above

May 7, 2025
Only three people have ever cut my hair: There was the older gentleman that my mother brought me to when I was young. Then there was the son of my dad’s barber, who cut my hair for decades. And finally, there’s the guy I’ve been going to for the last several years. I especially liked…
