Clear your mind and prepare for change

By Cassandra Tyndall

There’s an electric feeling in the air this week as one of the farther-flung planets, Uranus, grinds to a halt and heads in reverse, or retrograde, from our perspective. For some, this may hallmark exciting events, sudden new developments or the plot twist of new possibilities you’ve been waiting for. For others, Uranus changing direction may symbolize a proverbial spanner in the works that could see the onset of changes you weren’t prepared for.

Whether you see change as an opportunity for adventure and excitement, or, you prefer to err on the safe, familiar and known, it can promote mental stress and anxiety. With a flurry of information, logistics or details coming through, it can be helpful to do a “brain dump.” Take out a piece of paper and write down all your thoughts, ideas, feelings or even a list of to-dos. By dumping onto paper what’s occupying space in your mind, you can feel instant relief. This exercise can help you in prioritizing and strategically planning the rest of your week, and beyond. As you sift through the details, a brilliant Sun – Mercury – Mars alignment can propel you to take inspired action about a goal or dream that’s inside your heart.

‘Almost Heaven’

The stage was simple, designed to resemble a wooden board that resembled the siding of any barn, anywhere across America. My family and I went to the beach this past week. The temperatures were hot, and the weather was sunny, making for a classic seaside vacation. The house we rented was in the harbor of the town where we were visiting, so while we didn’t stare out at the ocean, we were able to sit…
