Choose Stephanie Jerome

Dear Editor,

Soon Vermonters will receive ballots for the upcoming elections. Voters in Brandon, Sudbury and Pittsford have the chance to re-elect Stephanie Jerome for State Representative.

As we can all imagine, stepping into her role as a newly-elected Representative in these particular times was a challenge that Stephanie Jerome met with full-on energy and a deep commitment to Vermonters in her own district and across the state.

In her first term, Stephanie Jerome served on the House Commerce and Economic Development Committee as well as the Rural Economic Development Working Group.

She shows her commitment to the citizens in our towns by scheduling regular “office hours,” rain or shine, in Brandon, Sudbury and Pittsford, as well as being accessible by email and phone.

Having attended her “office hours,” I can confirm her broad knowledge of local and state issues. If she is unclear about a topic, she takes note, does her research and gets back with relevant information in a timely fashion. She’s a  presence on Facebook where she keeps us all informed about important news and opportunities.

As a small business owner myself, I am particularly appreciative of Stephanie’s tireless efforts once Covid-19 developed across our state. I had questions relating to both federal and state support for struggling or closed businesses.

Jerome was easy to reach, very well connected to available resource information, and she stayed in touch with me to discover the outcome of our mutual efforts to manage our particular piece of the crisis.

Early on in the Covid challenge, she led a team of 25 legislators through the process of understanding the difficulties of our state’s over-stressed unemployment services. Changes were made and many citizens benefited.

Stephanie Jerome understands her constituents, she cares for them, and she offers her leadership to us as we continue to navigate the challenges ahead.

I will be proud and honored to cast my vote for Stephanie Jerome in the upcoming elections.

Lorrie Byrom, Pittsford

Dear Editor, In Vermont we hold the belief that every child should have access to an equitable education.
