Poetry is Power: You are stronger than a storm

Storms,

The wind whistles,

The trees sway,

The snow flutters down.

The air is cold,

The wind bites your nose.

Icicles sparkle in the sun,

The world glitters,

As the storm rages on.

There are many types of storms,

Whether it’s rain,

Wind or sea.

Storms are strong and powerful,

Just you see.

The world sends you storms all the time,

Tough problems and challenges,

But you are strong and powerful,

You get through them.

You are stronger than a storm!

Guided by scent: Rediscovering the outdoors through smell

November 13, 2024
As the rain began, we chose to keep paddling. We were on the far side of the reservoir, so it would be at least another hour until we could make it back to the Leffert’s side of the reservoir anyway. The rain continued, leaving little pockmarks on the water and reminding us that maybe next time, we…
