Take time to weigh your options

By Cassandra Tyndall

Just when you thought nothing more could shock or surprise you, this week will continue to add turbulence and confusion. The first of three links between communication planet, Mercury and radical Uranus happens on Wednesday.

This initial confrontation may unearth something hidden or toxic, highlighting the need for change. Whether it’s news from the White House or it happens in your personal life, this planetary action will be in play until November 17.

It will require a deep dive into what has become stuck or stagnant, demanding an alternative perspective. By contemplating a situation beyond your own standpoint, you offer yourself the chance to consider the “what ifs” in your life.

Often, when things change, the best thing to do is change everything. However, with Mercury on the go-slow in preparation for a retrograde, or reverse, phase next week, you’re better off researching available options for now.

By the weekend, if you’re feeling energetically spent, you may need to consider where you’re over-stretching yourself. Generosity is wonderful. However if you’ve taken on too much or your efforts aren’t being reciprocated, readjusting the scales of balance will be necessary. It may get a little tense, but it will be worth it in the end.

Back in the ‘50s five pharmacies were located in downtown Rutland. They were: Shangraw’s, Carpenter’s, Carroll Cut Rate, McClallen’s, and Beauchamp &…

I couldn’t find my center of balance for the life of me. A few days off from skiing and I felt like a fish flopping about on dry land. I would get stuck in the rut and get launched upwards and then I could feel my weight slamming into the back of my boots. The…

It was 30 years ago today

I never dreamed of being a writer, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. It was an early morning in 1994, and I was standing in the composition department of the Mountain Times, having been hired the prior year as a part-time graphic artist. Computers were just coming onto…
