VINS reschedules the 2020 Owl Festival

September 26 and 27—QUECHEE—Join the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) as they celebrate owls this fall! This much-loved annual event is one the community looks forward to each year, and they are excited to bring guests a day filled with adventure as you encounter live owls from around the world. The event has been re-scheduled from April 18 and 19 to September 26 and 27, 2020, and they are hoping that September will be the perfect month to celebrate these amazing creatures. Events at Owl Festival will include live owls presented by Eyes on Owls and the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum and a talk by senior scientist J.F. Therrien of Hawk Mountain Global Raptor Conservation.

Gather with live owls from all over the world, discover their life stories, make art projects and delight in delicious food. Spice up your experience by dressing as your favorite owl! You never know whooo you’ll run into.

Also joining the fun will be Vermont crepe makers The Skinny Pancake and Thetford’s own Griddle and Groovy, to keep you fueled for the day’s exploration. Food vendors will be on site from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. For further details, please visit vinsweb.org or find them on Facebook.

Tickets are $15 for youth, $17.50 for adults and $16.50 for seniors/veterans. Free for members, and children 3, and under. VINS Nature Center is located at 149 Nature’s Way in Quechee.
