USSA says: “Thank you Killington!”

Dear Editor,
This past weekend Vermont hosted over 30,000 spectators for the return of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup to Killington – one of the largest women’s weekend crowd in the 50-year history of the World Cup. On behalf of the athletes who came from every corner of the globe, a big thanks to Killington resort and community, as well as the entire region for producing such a world class event. It left a lasting impact on the World Cup athletes and the International Ski Federation.
It has been our organization goal for a decade to bring World Cup ski racing back to New England. We found a truly remarkable partner in Killington!
Most importantly, our vision with this event was to impact kids. Thanks to all the moms and dads for bringing so many young boys and girls to Killington to see the greatest ski racers in the world. We know that somewhere in the crowd there were a few 2028 or 2032 Winter Olympic medalists who were inspired by Mikaela Shiffrin’s win!
Thank you Killington!
Tiger Shaw, president and CEO U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association
