Splitboard Vermont organizers were feeling a bit isolated and lonely while working hard to do their part in fighting the current world health crisis. In trying to figure out ways to hang with the splitboard community at festivals like Pico Hiko and Bolton Valley Split and Surf-fest, they realized there was just no way to do so and do their part in caring for small shred towns. So, they’re taking this thing digital.
Apart, together: Get out and explore this little Green Mountain State. Warm up the irons, oil up the bushings, and add some thread-locker to those bolts — it’s time to get out and see Vermont on splitboards and share those excursions digitally.

Instagram Contest
The Instagram media contest will run for the entire month of February. One winner will be decided on March 1. To enter: Post splitboard related photos and/or videos on Instagram throughout Vermont Splitboard Month (February 2021). Include the following tags on every post to be considered an entry: @splitboardvt @catamountrail @outdoorgearexchange #vtsplitboardmonth. Your posts must be public. The winner will be chosen March 1.
Backcountry exploration
During the month of February, Splitboard VT will feature four backcountry or uphill zones here in Vermont. Tours will include splitboard-friendly routes at established Vermont backcountry zones, resorts with uphill-friendly policies, or routes featured in David Goodman’s “Best Backcountry Skiing In The Northeast.” They aren’t blowing up stashes, only sharing info about known, maintained, and publicized areas.
To be eligible for the weekly giveaway all participants must:
Complete the route
Capture a photo at the designated photo stop
Submit your entry at splitboardvt.com/vermont-splitboard-month.
Explore these zones at any point during the month of February and submit your completed routes to be entered in that week’s drawing to receive a prize pack of mixed splitboard related gear from our awesome partners.
