Go out and play!

Mother says, approach life with the eyes of a child

By Cal Garrison, a.k.a. Mother of the Skye

This week’s Horoscopes are coming out under the light of a Sagittarius Moon. This means that we will be off the hook and free to do whatever we please until she moves into Capricorn.

As far as what’s going on in the sky is concerned, the Sun entered Gemini on May 20, and Venus will enter that sign right before the sun rises on May 24. With this lighthearted energy filling up the matrix the name of the game is “go out and play.” If that sounds a little too frivolous, maybe so — but there’s a time and a place for everything, and this is the point in the yearly cycle when the need to connect with our inner child is the first order of business. There is no way we will be able to give birth to a whole new dream if we aren’t free enough to approach our lives with the eyes of a child.

Within this framework, a bunch of other, not so free and easy aspects are about to come into play, and it is a blessing that they are being cradled by such a permissive atmosphere. The themes are being created by a square from the Moon to the nodes, an aspect that has a tendency to keep us stuck in the way things are, because we’re too fearful and insecure to change.

Before the day is out, the Moon will oppose the Venus-Siva midpoint. This tells me that we are individually and collectively at the place where, whatever’s going on, it isn’t working for us anymore. At the point where it becomes obvious that nothing is working we either go for broke and try something new, or we stay trapped in the fear that we will die if we do. Because Venus is involved in this aspect, it follows that our beliefs about relationships and our addiction to money are feeding into these fears, and therefore, a huge obstacle right now.

What else is new? It always seems to come down to deciding who we want to be when we grow up. How perfect. Here we are at a moment in time when it’s totally appropriate to rearrange both the scenery, and the programs that tell us who we get to be. A Grand Earth Trine between Pluto, Mercury, Jupiter, and the North Node of the Moon gives me reason to believe that all of us are shifting our perspective away from the past, and onto the future in a process that will allow all of us to grow, and all of that to unfold, over the next 9 months.

We’re all in this together. The realm of possibilities is endless. Keep that in mind and take what you can from this week’s ‘scopes.
