Fair Haven concerts committee thanks supporters

Dear Editor,

The Fair Haven Concerts in the Park committee thanks everyone involved in making the 2014 summer concert series a success. We continue to be overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from local businesses and our many loyal supporters.

We thank the town of Fair Haven for its generous support of the concerts. Our list of volunteers continues to grow, and includes the men of the Fair Haven department of public works, who helped get the park ready for the shows, our tremendous sound engineers, the 50/50 ticket team, and the food crews who made popcorn and hot dogs for each show. We have volunteers who served as our bankers each week, along with those who put out the signs, brought us chairs for the bands, parked cars, or made sure we had our trash removed. We also thank our local newspapers for running weekly articles about the concerts.

We have a very long list of sponsors. We thank each and every one of them for the continued support that allowed the committee to offer all the extras at our concerts each week.

We thank our audiences. Each week the musicians would tell us how they enjoyed coming to the Fair Haven Concerts in the Park because of the friendly family atmosphere in Fair Haven. The bands really liked playing in one of Vermont’s most beautiful venues–our park.

The committee is looking forward to another successful summer concert series in 2015. We hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

The Fair Haven Concerts in the Park Committee: Fred Capron, DeeDee Bruce, Ceil Hunt, Scott Lobdell, Mike Stannard and Brian Ward

Dear Editor, We’re heading north and so excited. We’re moving full time to Vermont! For decades we’ve been snow birds, like my parents, spending half the year in Bradenton, Florida. But now our Florida house is up for sale — a 1929 Spanish Mediterranean brimming with beauty and charm. A young family we hope will…
