Don’t be so quick

When it comes to astro complaints, there’s nothing quite like a retrograde for people to blame their problems on. Granted, retrogrades, or when a planet appears to move in reverse from Earth’s perspective, it behaves antithetical to our western mind and way of life. You see, society is generally geared toward constant growth, progress and advancement, especially in the external, rather than the internal world. When a planet retrogrades, it invites us to pull our energy in and reflect. Astronomically, a retrograde planet orbits closer to us. If you’ve wondered what that bright red star in the night sky has been over the past several months, it’s Mars. This week, Mars begins to offer second chances from missed opportunities in quarter three of last year as the red planet stations direct in Gemini. As it does, it asks you to think about, if you haven’t already, the choices, decisions and action you plan to take as a part of your 2023 goals. It may be tempting to go all in and move more swiftly than you’ve done recently. That said, it’s still astrologically wise that if you’ve got four hours to chop down a tree, spend three sharpening your ax.
