Celestial inspiration: resentment springs from obligation, suppressing personal freedom

By Cal Garrison, a.k.a. Mother of the Skye

This week’s Horoscopes are coming out under the light of a Pisces Moon, with aspects that look like they’re going to drive us nuts for a few days. By noon on the 9th, I wouldn’t be surprised if we wind up butting heads with ourselves, or with anyone or anything that stands in the way of getting our needs met.

If you’re involved in a relationship, committed or otherwise, watch out; a square between the Sun and Mars in Gemini, and the Piscean energy emanating from the Moon will make it real difficult for us to find any common ground.

Why do I say this? There is a sense of bitchiness that comes up under these aspects that makes it hard to keep things from flaring up. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that togetherness will heal any of your woes.

If you want to go your own way, don’t stick around just to be nice, or do things out of a sense of obligation. The resentment that comes from suppressing the need for personal freedom and independence will make it impossible to have a good time, no matter what you’re up to.

You may wonder how a couple of relatively minor aspects could cause any amount of trouble; let me tell you why. Anger feeds on itself. In situations where the potential for anger is high, there is always the threat of a Domino effect, creating a chain reaction that stirs the wrath of everyone in your path.

Theoretically, the Sun and Mars in a hard square to the Moon is no big deal – but within the timeframe that this transit is active, the anger quotient will be high enough to trigger off troubles that outlast the aspect itself. As the next 48 hours unfold, it might help to keep the following words of wisdom in mind:

“If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape 100 days of sorrow” – The Buddha

Beyond anything I might have to say about the astrology of things, it might be more helpful to look at the levels of solar flare activity and their impact on the way things are going for us, these days. The changes that were blowing in the wind before most of you were even born are coming full circle as we speak. Nothing is the way it used to be. Give yourself plenty of space and time to look at what matters to you more than anything, and release yourself from any need to remain stuck in things that matter less. Keep that thought in mind and keep your mind on whatever it takes to uplift your Spirit, as you enjoy this week’s ‘scopes.
