Johannensen, Singer win Windsor County assistant judge positions

Palmer wins Windsor County sheriff position

Democrat Ryan Palmer  defeated Republican incumbent Michael Chamberlain for the Windsor County sheriff position on Tuesday night. Palmer had 57% of the vote in unofficial results with 22 of 24 towns reporting. Chamberlain had about 35.9% of the vote.

Democrats Alison Clarkson, Rebecca White and Dick McCormack were on track to win the Windsor County Senate race on Tuesday night. Sammis wins Rut-3 House seat

Republican Jarrod Sammis defeated Democrat Mary Droege for the newly created Rutland-3 House seat representing Castleton with 49.6% of the vote to 47% on Nov. 8. 

Howard wins Rut-6 House seat

Democrat incumbent Mary Howard defeated Republican Cynthia Laskevich on Nov. 8 for the Rutland-6 House Seat representing Rutland City. Howard secured 57.7% of the vote compared to Laskevich’s 38%.

Gov. Scott wins another term

Gov. Phil Scott, who became Vermont's 82n governor in 2017, has been elected again. The Associated Press called the race just before 10 p.m. Nov. 8 for Scott when he had about 73% of the vote ahead of Democrat challenger Brenda Siegel, who had 22% of the vote.
