Follow Saint Patty’s and drive the snakes out of your life

By Cal Garrison, a.k.a. Mother of the Skye

This week’s Horoscopes are coming out under the light of a Gemini Moon, with Mars and Venus creating complications, and a bevy of aspects that will have us wondering why we always wind up dealing with the same old thing. To put it in a nutshell, whatever your definition of “Ground Hog Day” might be, that’s what you’re looking at, right now.

If there’s a reason for it, it could have something to do with the fact that the only way human beings learn is via experience and repetition; that’s how it goes in 3D. We keep looking at the same old thing because it goes with the territory. Decisions that are filled with, “Should I stay or should I go?” themes are bound to be all over the place this week.

Underneath it all, hard aspects between Jupiter and Saturn are asking us to get real about what it will take to live a life that bears some resemblance to what we hold dear. The truth about that has gotten lost under the weight of tradition and expectation. Considerations that involve breaking out of the mold, along with thoughts about what it will cost us, are keeping many of us awake at night.

Healthy aspects between Pluto, Jupiter, and Ceres indicate that our perspective will be broad enough to make what it takes to take care of ourselves merge with whatever it takes to preserve everyone else’s highest good. At the cross roads, with decisions that matter more than anything we’ve come up against so far, saving ourselves has something to do with how well the lines of communication are preserved. In situations that look like it’s time to call it quits, the ability to talk about things, no matter how difficult it gets, will clear the air and restore peace.

Mars just moved into Sagittarius and Venus just entered Pisces. The two signs are 90 degrees apart, which puts the planets in hard aspect. With the Male and the Female principle squaring each other, there are bound to be issues in relationships. If I had to analyze this I would say that it will be easier to maintain harmony if the female understands that she is no longer a victim. At this point it’s time for her to stop whining get a grip on the powerful spirit that has better things to do now that it has outgrown all of her suffering.

As far as that goes, it’s time for the male of the species to tune in to his shamanic roots and bring forth his ancient wisdom in a way that both strengthens him, and supports the evolution of the female light. Mars in Sagittarius inspires the impulse to turn whatever we’re doing into a Vision Quest; it’ll remain in that sign for a few months. This would be a good time to come to terms with our suffering and use that wisdom to lead us deeper into the mystery.

Chiron is sitting right on top of the Moon’s South Node. God knows, there are a million ways to look at this. The last time Chiron sat on this degree of the zodiac it was off-and-on between 1963 and 1964. We can recall a) the death of JFK, b) the Vietnam War, and c) the Beatles showing up during that window of time. Consider the impact of what happens when that much change starts blowing in the wind and realize that in its aftermath, we are looking at the same set of circumstances, on a whole different octave, 50 years later.

In the thick of things like this there’s no way to know where the fallout will land or how it will look. The one’s who claim to know about these things tell us that we’re ascending — let’s hope so, and let the chips fall where they may. Have a happy Saint Patrick’s Day — and while you draw upon Saint Patty’s example to drive the snakes out of your life, don’t forget to stop whining, stay in touch with your inner shaman, and enjoy this week’s ‘scopes.
