Reports out of Vermont: SOS Moscow

Dear Editor,

Trader Don’s is closing down and moving itself, with his family companies lock, stock and barrel to a foreign destination within a fortnight after the Nov. 3 presidential election.

Saving money, and the pursuit of law and justice, far from American courts, the Trader’s tumble has caused early trading on Wall Street to rise broadly with names of businesses tied to the Trader in freefall — a shock is expected in the world markets.

The Trump administration is cautious in calling the move nothing to be worried about and “something that will pass quickly” like the pandemic. A source in the administration is quoted as saying: “Let justice be done though the heavens fall,” which the president quickly labelled as being a “stupid remark.”

There is some speculation that the move will be to Russia and one source told us “not to dare call it treason, but just good business sense” as Trump is known for.

Reporting for the Green Mountain Girls and Boys Press, where our motto is “Remember, it’s not news until it’s news.”
