Support Molly Gray for Lieutenant Governor

Dear Editor,

I recently began volunteering for the Vermont Democratic Party in hopes of aiding the blue wave in the upcoming election cycle but also due to my strong interest in the campaign of Molly Gray for Lieutenant Governor. Molly is the change Vermont needs. She is passionate, driven, intelligent and truly cares about her fellow Vermonters.

I lived in Vermont for 18 years before leaving for college and have since returned due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I am often disappointed in the choice of candidates for political office in Vermont due to a lack of common ground I find between myself and the candidates. The same cannot be said for the candidacy of Molly Gray.

Born and raised on a farm in Vermont, Molly knows the trials and tribulations that everyday Vermonters face. She knows how special Vermont is and the specific policy choices Vermonters are interested in — supporting a rural economy, racial justice, climate change, quality education, childcare and more. Molly is committed to helping the most vulnerable populations at home and abroad, which is evident by the time she spent working for the International Committee of the Red Cross. Molly is exactly the type of person that I like to see running for political office. Not only is she competent in politics and policy work but she is genuine and real. I have no doubt that Molly will work diligently to support everyday Vermonters through the Covid-19 crisis and beyond.

As a young woman interested in politics myself, Molly Gray’s campaign is inspiring. Molly’s dedication to Vermont, empathetic policy reform and the wellbeing of others is exactly the type of change our state and our country needs in the next generation of policymakers and politicians.

I wholeheartedly support Molly Gray’s campaign for lieutenant governor and will keep doing what I can to spread the word about this important campaign. Vote Molly Gray for Lieutenant Governor in this upcoming election!

Olivia Laramie, Fair Haven
