“I’m a 3-year-old black mouth cur mix. My previous home had some transitions. It’s been a bit of an adjustment for me — I am a bit on the shy side. Meeting new people makes me a little nervous, but once I get to know you, I warm up nicely. I enjoy long walks, it’s so peaceful. Speaking of peace, I am best suited for a calmer, gentle environment and would do best in a home without children. I might like to live with other fur children though, perhaps the right cat or dog — if they liked me too. I don’t mind a good rest either, maybe cuddled up next to a campfire. So, if you are looking for a gentle companion please call today to learn more!”

If you are looking for a small animal, we have good news: we have several! We currently have seven lop-mix rabbits. They are spayed and neutered and ready to have families to love them. We also have two male Guinea pigs that are best friends and have to be adopted together. And we have the cutest tiny dwarf hamster! For more information about adoption and these animals, check out our Facebook page, call or visit our website.

Rather than change and actively work towards a better future, we tend to dwell on the past. Make sure things are great again. The good ol’ days,…

With home viewing becoming the preferred way to watch movies, it’s a rare delight to encounter a film that demands to be seen in a theater. Brady Corbet’s "The Brutalist" is one such film. This 215-minute epic, shot in stunning VistaVision and presented in 70mm, is a cinematic experience that makes the journey to the…

A sign of the times?

January 15, 2025
By James Kent Perhaps you’ve seen it as you drive along Route 7. In an abandoned lot next to Godnick’s on the corner of 259 N Main St. in Rutland City, erected atop a leftover sign from a long-shuttered mini golf course, a Trump/Vance election sign is affixed overhead. Even those with a cursory knowledge…
