Unseen issues

By Cal Garrison a.k.a. Mother of the Skye

This week’s horoscopes are coming out under the light of a Sagittarius Moon, with a bunch of planetary changes to give us something to talk about. It would be presumptuous to say that we can cover it all, but let’s see if we can make sense of some of this.

For starters, Mercury turned retrograde at the 12th degree of Pisces on Feb. 16. It will remain in that mode until March 9, when it resumes its forward motion at the 28th degree of Aquarius. Anything that we have planned, or set our sights on, or believe to be written in stone, will be subject to many changes and adjustments between now and March 9. This will be apparent in our personal lives and in the outer reality as well.

The misconception that everything goes kablooey under a retrograde Mercury is totally erroneous. The fact is that whatever we think needs to happen undergoes positive adjustments under this influence. What this means is that prior to its retrograde phase, all of us go about our business, merrily making decisions, and choosing courses of action that are always based on what is in the best interests of our egos. What our egos want, and what is in the best interests of our higher selves, are always at odds. The so-called snafus that occur when Mercury is retrograde are actually positive changes that keep our egos in check and get whatever our higher calling involves, back on track.

Venus entered Aries back on Feb. 8.  Venus’ passage through the sign of the ram is an indication that we need to be focusing on our independent needs in our relationships.

It’s usually best to leave everyone alone under this transit. To be too needy, too clingy, too demanding, or too dependent will drive whoever we want to connect with nuts!

Male or female, people with Venus in Aries came here to be No. 1 at what they do, whole and complete within themselves, and 100% OK with not needing anyone. In a partnership? These individuals need to be in relationships with people who leave them alone, who do not need them, and who love and respect their needs to be free and independent.

As you process the changes that go hand in hand with the season, and go deeply enough into yourselves to get in touch with what needs to be released in preparation for the beginning of the next cycle, consider the virtues of self-reliance and independence, get real enough to think for yourselves and draw your own conclusions, and take what you can from this week’s ‘scopes.
