This week’s horoscopes are coming out under the light of an Aries Moon, and I am happy to say that I am on the road, spending time with my three beautiful daughters. Being away from my desk gives me a chance to restore my soul, and allows me to remember what I am here for. Looking at what’s going on with the stars, I thought it might be good to touch down on some stuff that relates to cycles and the way everything comes full circle.
I say this because I am in the middle of my sixth Jupiter return, and because the planet Uranus, which was sitting on my South Node, or my past life inlet, 42-43 years ago, has come around to its opposite point and is currently situated on my North Node, also known as my point of purpose or fulfillment.
These planetary cycles, and the events that go with them, teach us so much about the connection between where we have been, and where we are going. When we are young, we have no perspective on this process, but “time is the mother of truth”, and what happens for all of us is that sooner or later we come to find out exactly why certain things had to happen the way they did.
About 42-43 years ago, I was going through changes that upset every facet of my life. Because the changes that occurred were so devastating, and created so much heartache, both for me and for my nearest and dearest, over the years my constant question has been, “Why, did all of that have to happen?”
At that time, Uranus was sitting on my Scorpio South Node, conjuncting Mars and squaring Venus, Pluto, Lilith, and Toro from my fifth house of children and love affairs. At the mercy of forces that were beyond any ability my youth might have had to control them, what happened next took me down a whole new, and very rocky road. Uranus is the most ornery, erratic, change oriented planet in the solar system. When Uranus rocks the South Node, one way or another, it ignites a Molotov cocktail that rips the maternal axis to shreds.
Since that time, I have done enough horoscopes to know what might happen to others when Uranus hits the South Node. Having been through the mill with my own experience has helped me to help my clients get a grip on the fact that it’s best to detach and ride out the separative nature of this passage without getting too ripped up by it. To give you a few examples; more than once I have seen that the “mother” dies when Uranus goes over the South node. In one case one of my clients woke up and realized that he was allergic to his family, left for parts unknown, and hasn’t been seen, or heard from since. In another situation the client’s mother left her husband after 37 years of marriage and ran off to New Zealand with a woman.
Now that the planet that blew through my life so long ago is sitting on its opposite pole, I am clear that it was a perfect storm that happened for a reason. In the next few weeks I will return to the scene of the crime and it will be interesting to see how things play out on the other end of the karmic stick. We shall see. The hardest parts of living are where we get to find it. Let me leave you with that and invite you to take what you can from this week’s ‘scopes.
