RUTLAND—As visitors head to the Rutland and Killington area for Thanksgiving and the FIS World Cup races on Nov. 26 and 27, Marble Valley Regional Transit (“The Bus”) is rolling out three additional routes during the weekend of the races, which will shuttle visitors between parking and event areas and downtown Rutland. These new routes will see 10 extra buses on the road.
In addition to normal winter operations, The Bus will have three new routes: from Pico to the K-1 Lodge; from Skyeship to the K-1 Lodge; and service up and down Killington Road.
The new route from Pico to K-1 will run every 20 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., then every 10 minutes from 11:30 a.m. to 6: 30 p.m. The route from Skyeship to K-1 will run from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. every 20 minutes. Service up and down Killington Road will run every 20 minutes from 7:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. from the Killington Center Inn & Suites to the K-1 lodge.
For riders leaving from Rutland, the Diamond Express will leave at a quarter past every hour, starting at 6:15 a.m. from the downtown Rutland Transit Center on West Street and arrive at the K-1 Lodge. The last bus leaves Rutland at 10:15 p.m.
