This week’s Horoscopes are coming out under the light of a Leo Moon, on the heels of a Mercury/Venus/Jupiter conjunction at the 28th Degree of Virgo. This is a totally beneficent trinity that will mean different things to different people. On the surface it has the potential to open us up to new ideas and a more idealistic vision of the future.
There are a million ways to look at this, so let’s see if the Sabian Symbols can help us break it down. Here is an excerpt from “An Astrological Mandala” by Dane Rudhyar.
“Virgo 28 Degrees. A balded headed man who has seized power. Keynote: The sheer power of personality in times that call for decision.
“Whether at the religious or at the socio-political level there comes a time when obsolescent patterns of order and cultural refinement have to be radically and relentlessly challenged. Catabolic personages emerge to seize power and dictate decisions that alter the structures of society; or within an individual life, an intense urge for cathartic changes mobilizes the will, and traumatic decisions are made. At such times, the issue has to be met and, ruthless as the power may appear, it must be accepted.
“At this stage … we face the unpostponable necessity for decision and transformation. Existence is motion. No static formation, however beautiful and inspiring, can remain long unchallenged. Everything bows to the power of the will—divine, executively human, or Satanic.”
Whoa! This gives us pause to think about where we stand with ourselves and the extent to which our internal reality gets extruded and shapes itself into our outer reality. I don’t know about you, but I’ve got a lot of intense internal and external changes rocking my world right now—and the above words speak to me in ways that would take too long to describe. If you read them over a few times I have a feeling they will hit home, on a thousand different levels, no matter who we are, or where we’re coming from.
“We face the unpostponable necessity for decision and transformation.” Keep that in mind as you read this week’s ‘scopes.
