Dear Editor,
Born and raised in Castleton, I have had the privilege of being involved in many different initiatives throughout the state. This past year—right after graduating college—I participated in the Miss Vermont Scholarship Organization Competition and worked at the American Legion Auxiliary Green Mountain Girls State as well as the Governor’s Institute on the Arts. I love being able to see young Vermonters learn and grow in many different capacities.
Over the last year, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Korrine Rodrigue and what she stands for. She addresses overarching issues and concerns that are affecting so many of us across Rutland County. We have similar goals and passions and care about all of the wonderful people who live in this state. She has taught me how to speak up and more importantly: how to listen.
Every time I hear Korrine speak about why she is running for State Senate, I can hear the excitement and passion in her voice. She continues to work tirelessly in support of many diverse organizations and important initiatives like Project VISION and has a true unwavering spirit to make Rutland County better than it has ever been. With a clear focus on key issues–such as the opiate epidemic, job growth, economic prosperity for all Vermonters, and issues of safety in our communities especially those affecting women and children–Korrine can call upon the strengths of our communities to bring concerted change.
She is Rutland County’s voice for the young, the aging, and for families. She understands the underlying root causes of the issues that we are facing in the county and the state and wants to actively represent us in Montpelier.
As a young woman, I wholeheartedly support Korrine. She has a vision for improving our community so that present and future generations will be able to thrive here. She demonstrates that self-confidence, passion, and hard work go a long way. She is a role model and a strong leader. If you want someone who will work hard and get things done–join me in supporting Korrine Rodrigue for Rutland County Senate.
