This weeks’ Horoscopes are coming under the light of an Aries Moon, on one of the most auspicious days of the year: Welcome to the “Day Out of Time.” For those of you who don’t know what I am referring to, “The Day Out of Time” is based on the 13 Moon Calendar. Between the Dogon, the Incans, the Druids, the Essenes, the Mayans, and the Polynesian and Aboriginal tribes, for over 5,500 years, the 13 Moon calendrical system has been widely endorsed as a viable method for marking time.
According to this system, the New Year begins on July 26. Fifty-five-hundred years ago that date coincided with the Heliacal Rising of Sirius, an event that was (and still is) considered to be auspicious by virtue of the fact that Sirius, the brightest star in the sky, rises at dawn, in conjunction with the Sun, every year at this time.
To the indigenous people, that stretch of the zodiac has always been blessed with twice as much light, twice as much heat, and double the life force. The annual floods that arrive hand-in-hand with all of the above, reinforced the belief that this increase in elemental energy bestowed the last week of July with enough potency to rebirth a whole new cycle.
Dividing 365 days of the year into 13, 28-day cycles adds up to 364 days. In the 13 Moon Calendar, the 365th, or ‘extra’ day fell on July 25 and was referred to as “The Day Out of Time.” Sirius was understood to be the “Heart of the Sun,” and for the old ones, the day of its ascension in conjunction with the Sun was the most sacred day of the year —twice the heat, twice the light, and twice the amount of life force. Centuries later, what does that mean for us?
In essence, it is on this day that Sirius comes together in a cosmic embrace with our physical Sun. Rising simultaneously at dawn, on the last day of the galactic year, the “Day Out of Time” has been devoted to ritual, meditation, and prayer. It is a 24-hour opportunity to tune in to the wishes of the higher self, and rebirth our dreams for the coming year.
The image that governs this years’ “Day Out of Time” is the White Planetary Mirror. According to Jose Arguelles’: “White Mirror represents the Hall of Mirrors, where you can face your own reflection and see the truth about yourself.”
From the same body of work; the upcoming 2016-17 cycle is referred to as Blue Spectral Storm Year: “Blue Storm represents the storm, the thundercloud full of purifying rain, and the lightening that shatters any false structuring of reality.”
I don’t know about you, but the message seems pretty clear. It looks like it’s time to examine ourselves and call upon the purifying rains to wash us clean of anything that keeps us from seeing the light. From an esoteric perspective, the next two weeks are huge. Don’t miss out on this chance to connect with the truth, pray that your reflection bears some resemblance to it, keep your heart in alignment with your higher self, and enjoy this week’s ‘scopes.
