Looks like it’s time to take your clothes off

By Cal Garrison, a.k.a. Mother of the Skye

This week’s Horoscopes are coming out under the light of a Virgo Moon, with aspects that, on the whole, are looking absolutely fabulous. Pluto, Jupiter, Vesta, Mercury and Hygeia are all in harmonious aspect with the North Node of the Moon. Loosely translated this means, we should be getting along just fine, with one reason or another fueling the desire to make things work.

Within this matrix, Mars just went retrograde, Pluto will be in the same mode by the end of the day, and Mercury will turn retrograde on April 28. This factor puts a beautiful twist on things, one that is bound to separate the wheat from the chaff and show us who, and/or what, is for real and who isn’t. I say this because, whenever Mars goes retrograde it is our motives for doing this, that or the other thing that matter more than whatever the external plan appears to involve. A for instance would be:

“It’s great that you want to play an active role in the benefit that they’re doing for the animal shelter; does your old man know that your lover is running the show? Are you there for the critters or is your altruism motivated by the fact that you have the hots for the chairman of the board?”

This would be the week to take a look at why we have decided to pursue certain goals. Taking the time to reflect upon those things in a truthful way could totally change our course of action —or keep it moving along the same track. If our motives are out of whack, nothing we attempt will bear fruit. When things fall apart instead of whining about it, go a little deeper into the mystery and look at what’s really causing you to want this or that more than anything in the world. What is, or isn’t working has to be addressed and adjusted from the inside out.

This is all being punctuated by the fact that Pluto will turn retrograde within 24-hours of Mars. The two planets have a sort of ‘binary relationship’ which turns this simultaneous retrograde thing into a double-whammy. Why? Pluto is referred to as the higher octave of Mars. Pluto embodies what the soul wants, and Mars embodies what the ego wants. It’s best if they are on the same page, or are at least able to relate.

The Sabian Symbol for Pluto, at the 17th degree of Capricorn reads as: “A repressed woman finds psychological release in nudism,” with the keynote reading: “An escape from bondage to social inhibitions and a reliance upon the wisdom of the body.”

The Sabian Symbol for Mars, at eight degrees of Sagittarius reads as: “Within the depths of the earth new elements are being formed.” The next sentence reads: “Forces are at work in the deepest layers of the psyche… An alchemical process goes on, usually unnoticed by the conscious ego, until it becomes obvious that a kind of mutation has taken place, and a new level of awareness and of responses to life has been reached.” And the last sentence or two? “The very substance of the person’s nature undergoes modifications, on the basis of which a new step maybe taken. The symbol draws our attention to inner changes. We have to become aware of them. What is implied is a kind of psychic gestation.”

It looks to me like it’s time to “take our clothes off”,  in order to make it easier to access this new level of awareness and these new responses to life. I find it interesting to ponder stuff like this, knowing that we entered fifth dimensional territory back in 2012. Four years down the road we are just beginning to get a handle on this “new way of being”. Reflecting on our collective and personal courses of action, it’s time to escape from our bondage to social inhibitions so that the forces that are at work in the deepest layers of the psyche can unlock the door to what’s next. We could go on and on, but let’s leave it at that so that you can get down to the business of enjoying this week’s ‘scopes.
