Dear Editor,
It appears that there is a concerted Killington town effort to either eliminate the West Hill slip lane, or make it dysfunctional. For many years the slip lane has safely removed exiting Access Road traffic from the dysfunctional Route 4 intersection during peak ski traffic mass exodus times. The convoluted logic to force traffic to either, block the right lane of the access road for Killington Ski Area patrons wanting to avoid the dysfunctional Route 4 intersection, thus increasing the potential for severe accidents, or placing a stop sign on the slip lane with potentially the same negative hazardous results, escapes me. To my knowledge the concept of taking a perfectly safe functional road and turning it into a potentially hazardous situation for no justified reason makes absolutely no sense. Let’s keep the slip lane safely functional the way it was designed.
