This week’s Horoscopes are coming out under the light of a late-Virgo, almost Libra moon, with the sun standing on the threshold of the cusp that separates the sign of the Crab from the sign of the Lion. For more than one reason this is an auspicious time. The next few weeks will give all of us a chance to bear witness to what we have created and let the fates decide what to make of it.
With the sun getting ready to change signs, the moon in its void-of-course mode, Venus newly ensconced in the sign where the sacred and the profane become one, and the Heliacal Rising of Sirius loaning mythic proportions to what for the ancient Egyptians was the most powerful point in the yearly cycle, all of us are experiencing changes that are bound to be putting our feet to the fire.
On top of all of this, within a week we will reach what in the Mayan Calendar is known as “The Day Out of Time.” In both the Mayan and the Egyptian traditions the 25th of July is the annual reset point for everything in creation. On the physical level it marks the date where the rains come to flood the earth and fertilize the soil, so that its bounty can continue to nourish and supply us with life. The Day Out of Time is the moment when all of life takes a deep breath and gives itself 24 hours to ‘be’ in the still point, where everything merges into oneness, long enough for us to see where we’re at and emerge from that point with a clear vision for the future.
As most of you know, it is hard to make predictions for every member of every sign; each of us has a hundred different combinations of planets and signs affecting our lives and our personalities. Within these differences, there is no way to accurately assess how the week will play out from person to person. However, given some of the influences that are affecting all of us right now, the one thing I can say for sure is that we are coming to terms with whatever’s left of our hardest lessons. Regardless of what people try to tell you, each and every one of us is at the bottom line, at a moment in time when all of us are being called to rise above it, and shine.
Getting closure on the things that have yet to be revealed is a huge part of this story. Being torn by what our fears dictate and what our hearts keep calling us to do, being unable to know what is really required from us in our relationships — and having our addiction to money play too much of a role in our decision making processes — ALL of these things are where most of us are getting snake bit. The drama will increase in direct proportion to any unwillingness we have to come to terms with ourselves, and any refusal we have to forgive those who have trespassed against us.
With the asteroid Astraea sitting in the middle of Galactic Center, the whole issue of being centered in the still point, suspended between the past and what we create here in the “Now” is intensified to the Nth degree. As far as the past goes, it is over. The future is created from moment to moment. Plowing through the wreckage of whatever’s left to be dealt with, will be easier for those of us who understand that all of it happened in spite of us, not because of us – and now is the time to move beyond “our stuff,” and use whatever it has taught us to bear witness, and get one step closer to the truth.
As the Day Out of Time approaches, consider your place in the scheme of things, give thought to what it might mean to use the Heart of the Leo Sun to breathe new life into every aspect of your experience, keep walking your talk at all times, and enjoy this weeks’ ‘scopes.
