Coaches’ Corner: Group mentality works

By Kyle Finneron

The theme of this edition of the Body Transformation Challenge was “Gain your Independence.” While the core training and programing remained consistent, the thought of freeing themselves from the extra weight they carried around, I believe helped these participants excel. To see the group come together as a whole was really something! Having that common enemy such as: the challenge, the scale that doesn’t seem to move, or the two trainers you love to hate can really bring a group closer together.

My favorite part of the challenge is watching the group push each other to new levels. A trainer can push and encourage you all they want but for some reason when it comes from someone suffering along side you it seems to give an extra push. The participants may be finishing up their challenges in the paper but I feel confident that they will succeed with their new wealth of knowledge.

The stage was simple, designed to resemble a wooden board that resembled the siding of any barn, anywhere across America.
