It is with a heavy heart I report to you that the Southwest Freedom Riders will be dissolving at the end of 2015.
It’s been a long, strange, wonderful journey through the last 15 years. We have done our best to help as many people as possible, and really make a difference—locally, state- and nationwide. However, if it were not for the assistance we have received from our friends in the community all these years—from all of you who have donated money, product, or services to help us out, and/or came and supported our events—we would not have been able to accomplish what we have.
For that support, we want to say, “Thank you, thank you, thank you all.”
While the organization itself is dissolving, it does not mean that our people will be going away. The friendships we have made along the way are priceless. We consider them rewards for all the good we have tried to do. We hope you will cherish them for the treasures they are and that you, our friends and supporters, know that you are treasured as well.
Farewell, my friends. Ride safe and keep the rubber side down.
