World music comes to Brandon Town Hall

Friday, Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. — BRANDON — On Friday, Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. Gary Meitrott Unlimited will bring music of the world to Brandon with Limbo Lounge, Comet de Samba and  West African Djembe. The audience will be stirred by the rhythm and sounds of West Africa, Brazil, Cuba, the Middle East, Ireland, Aborigine and the U.S.

The program begins with Comet de Samba, a six-member “bateria” and West African Djembe, followed by Limbo Lounge, an eight-piece band with keyboard, violin, guitar,  bass, drum kit, multi-ethnic hand percussions and vocals. In the end, they will join together in a unique blend of sounds and styles as one voice.
