VSAC helps families navigate the college search with free college-planning workshops 

Saturday April 11 at 9:30 a.m. — CASTLETON — High school students and parents should attend Vermont Student Assistance Corporation’s 14th annual College Pathways, featuring free workshops. On Saturday, April 11 at Pathways will be at Castleton State College in Castleton, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Attendees will be entered in drawings for a chance to win an iPad, $500 college savings account and more. Topics cover the entire college process, including creating a college list that fits student needs and family finances, specifics on how to apply, strategies for taking SATs and ACTs, writing an application essay that stands out, understanding college costs and financial aid, and more. New this year will be the topic “what to do if you have no clue what you want to do.”
