Explore eclectic string ensemble music during Homes & Gardens Tour
Friday, July 9 at 6 p.m. — PITTSFORD — The Vermont Symphony Orchestra (VSO) is pleased to announce a visit to Pittsford during its 2021 summer season, coming together for a musical garden party at the Pittsford Village Farm on July 9 at 6 p.m. This free performance is part of a series of small-format concerts being held statewide all throughout July, themed by location: breweries, homes and gardens, town gazebos and bandstands.
Attendees in Pittsford can expect to experience a collection of rich colors, textures and sounds by the VSO’s string quartet. As we return to live performance, we also return to the familiar sounds and folk melodies that celebrate the season. Works by Antonin Dvorak, William Grant Still, Gwyneth Walker, Alexander Glazunov and a suite of classic American musical favorites will bring a tap to your toe and a smile to your face.
“We are so excited to perform in Pittsford,” said VSO Executive Director Elise Brunelle. “The VSO always looks forward to reuniting with our friends in the community, especially this year.”
“We are so pleased to welcome the VSO to Pittsford Village Farm In July. As a welcoming community gathering place, we cherish special moments that we can share with our neighbors and friends,” said Pittsford Village Farm’s board co-chairs Lorrie Byrom and Gisela Keller.
