Vermont Actors’ Repertory to hold auditions this weekend

Nov. 13-14 — RUTLAND —Following a successful run of “Tangled Skirt” by Steven Braunstein to open its 17th season, Vermont Actors’ Repertory Theatre will hold open auditions for the three upcoming productions. Auditions will be held at the company’s home at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 117 West St. in Rutland on Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Nov. 14 from 5-8 p.m. Please be prepared to do a cold read. Auditions will be taped.

Show 1 is “Universal Love and Light.” Six short plays will be performed with two live tapings on Feb. 5 with a snow date for Feb. 12 in Rutland by Vermont Playwrights. Show 2 Is “May Soundings” with four short plays by Vermont Playwrights for Mental Health Awareness Month at VSU- Castleton on May 5 and at the UUChurch on May 7 for four performances total. Show 3 features an all- female cast for “Waiting for Godot” by Samuel Beckett on June 17,18, 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. and June 19 and 26 at 3 p.m.

Please be ready to provide your vaccination card and to wear a mask when you aren’t auditioning.
