Understand the risks and rates of cancer in Rutland County; early detection is key!

October is breast cancer awareness month – women over 40, don’t miss your mammogram!

Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. — RUTLAND — Knowing your risk for cancer is the first step toward prevention or early detection. Join public health analysts from the Department of Health and physicians from the Foley Cancer Center on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rutland Country Club on 275 Grove Street in Rutland to hear a discussion on cancer rates and risks in Rutland County.

Public health analysts Jennifer Kachajian and Lea Schulman will be joined by Allan Eisemann, M.D., and Rick Lovett, M.D., from the Foley Cancer Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center. A question and answer session will be hosted after the discussion. Refreshments will be served. This session is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required.
