Two die in head-on collision in Chester

Two people, including a toddler, died in head-on collision on Route 103 in Chester on March 2, according to police.

Police said a minivan traveling erratically without headlights crossed the center line and struck another car near Peck Road.

The driver of the minivan, Janice Bergeron, 80, from Rockingham sustained significant injuries. She was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries, police said.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 2014 Toyota Camry, Heather Morse, 24, from Springfield, was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center by DHART with non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in her car Michael McInver, age, also from Springfield, was transported to Springfield Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Their toddler, also in the Toyota Camry, died. The roadway was closed for about four hours. This crash is still under investigation.
