Twigs and Thistle, a thrift boutique, opens in Chester

By Donald Dill

Marji Graf, CEO of the Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, welcomes Genevieve Johnson of Twigs and Thistle, a thrift boutique in Chester, to the Chamber.

CHESTER — Twigs and Thistle, a thrift boutique featuring gently used clothing, opened Feb. 13 at 287 Main Street in Chester. Genevieve Johnson is the new owner. Johnson is the former owner of the Jenny -Wren Cafe in Springfield where the thrift boutique was located in the back of the cafe.

“I’m very excited about being in Chester and focusing on my clothing business. The space is perfect and the community has been very welcoming,” said Johnson. “There is a doorway between my shop and the Southern Pie Company so my day consists of being surrounded by pies and purses!”

Johnson owns a home in Springfield with Seth Mailhiot and their new puppy, Colt.
