ENTRAIN

Saturday, Aug. 22 at 3:30 p.m. — KILLINGTON — Entrain will perform a free concert at Killington Resort’s Snowshed Adventure Center on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The concert is part of the Town of Killington’s Cooler in the Mountains summer series.

Since the group’s inception in 1993, Entrain has been thrilling critics and fans alike with their epic sound and vision. The six-piece band has recorded eight albums, all of which have been praised for their ability to shift effortlessly between musical styles – from rock, blues, calypso and ska, to zydeco, jazz and funk – often within the same song. Over the years, the band has shared the stage with world-class musicians such as James Taylor, Grateful Dead alum Bob Weir and rock legend Bo Diddley, and former President Bill Clinton.

“We are thrilled to welcome longtime New England favorites Entrain back  to Cooler in the Mountains,” says Amy Morrison, events and marketing coordinator for the Town of Killington, “Known for their energetic shows, concert goers are sure to be dancing right along with them. “

Cooler in the Mountains performances are scheduled every Saturday afternoon, through Sept. 5.  The concerts are free and open to all ages, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn blankets and chairs to enjoy the scenic views. In addition to great music, the concerts, adjacent to Killington Resort’s new Adventure Center, feature Long Trail beer, lawn games and outdoor fun. Plus all in attendance will have the chance to win a 2015-2016 Killington season pass, which will be given away at the conclusion of the concert series. The next concert on Aug. 29 features the definitive Allman Brothers band tribute, “Live at the Fillmore.”
