The Pines announces Rachel Bruce as new medical director

Local hospitalist joins the team of Rutland’s top skilled nursing facility

Rachel Bruce, MD is the new nursing home director for Community Health’s nursing home service line and takes over the position of medical director at The Pines at Rutland.

Dr. Bruce, who specializes in internal medicine, geriatrics, pulmonology and end-of-life care, was most recently a hospitalists at Rutland Regional Medical Center (RRMC).

Dr. Bruce is a graduate of the State University of New York College of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Pulmonary Medicine Board.

During her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, skiing and swimming with her family.

“We are very pleased to have Dr. Bruce join our team,”said Tim Urich, Pines administrator.  “Her vast experience and leadership will be a significant asset in furthering our clinical programs and enhancing our medical staff.”

The Pines at Rutland is a Five-Star Medicare rated facility with a special ventilator unit that offers skilled nursing for rehabilitation patients and long-term care residents.

The Pines at Rutland is located on 99 Allen St. in Rutland.
