Ted Arbo’s “Toys For Tots” benefit set for Dec. 5 at the Foundry

The entertainment stage is surrounded by an outpouring of toys to be donated to local kids in need.

Saturday, Dec. 5 at 4 p.m.—KILLINGTON — Ted Arbo’s 29th annual “Toys for Tots (Not Tears)” holiday party will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Foundry at Summit Pond, Killington Road, Killington. Guests are asked to bring an unwrapped toy as a donation. The event will also feature a raffle and live auction, with all proceeds going to local organizations including Upper Valley Haven, Rutland County Women’s Network and Shelter, Open Door Mission, Rutland County Parent Child Center, and Dodge House.

Raffle items include local restaurant gift certificates, lodging packages, ski/snowboard gear and apparel, golf and ski packages and more. Guests receive one raffle ticket in exchange for each toy donation; additional tickets may be purchased at the door. A live auction will include several chef-prepared dinners, Killington lift tickets, golf packages, local artwork and more. Entertainment will be provided by Aaron Audet from 4 to 7:30 p.m., followed by the Joey Leone Trio from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Santa will make a special appearance at 6:30 p.m. and then be available for pictures with the kids.

Ted Arbo’s Toys for Tots Holiday Party has been a celebrated tradition in Killington since 1986. Over $120,000 in toys and donations have been raised, supporting many local agencies and causes. Last year’s event raised $16,000 in donations and collected over 1,200 toys — a record for the event. For info,  call 802-422-5335.
