Sunshine and smiles highlight KMS annual golf tournament

While no one won this grand prize, it was a fun prop for photos.

KILLINGTON — With perfectly sunny skies and warm temperatures Friday, Sept. 18, the annual Killington Mountain School golf tournament continued its perfect record of beautiful weather yet again. This year, 18 teams took to the course for the 10 a.m. shotgun start, and the heated competition ensued. The team from the Lookout proved impossible to beat, and they took home the first place team prize once again this year. Cody Larsen edged out Tao Smith in the Men’s Longest Drive competition, and Drew Marrazzo was the Men’s Closest to the Pin winner. Jill Firstbrook took home the honors in both the Ladies’ Closest to the Pin and in the Ladies’ Longest Drive competition.

While each team posed for pictures with the beautiful, orange Kubota tractor, and Janet Larsen and Dave Willis both landed balls on the 17th green that were excitingly close to the hole, no one managed to sink a hole-in-one and take home the grand prize. There’s always next year!
