Stolen truck found stuck on logging road

On Thursday, May 27, at approximately 7:59 a.m., state police from the Rutland barracks were notified of a motor vehicle complaint on Quarterline Road in Clarendon involving a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500  stuck on a logging trail in the woods. Soon after, that same vehicle was reported stolen from Bruce Colvin, 72, on High Road in Poultney sometime between 10 p.m. the previous night and 8 a.m. Thursday morning. 

The vehicle was damaged during the theft and was recovered from Quarterline Road.

Anyone with information pertaining to this vehicle theft or saw this vehicle driving between the above listed hours is asked to contact Trooper Charles Gardner of the Vermont State Police at 802-773-9101.

The Vermont State Police and area local police remind people to lock their vehicles and to not leave their keys or valuables inside.
