State investigates untimely death of 18-year-old

POULTNEY—The Vermont State Police, along with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, are conducting a joint investigation into the untimely death of William “Cole” Wohle, age 18, of Francestown, N.H., following his death on the evening of July 30, 2016.
Wohle had been attending a rodeo at Pond Hill Ranch in Poultney, Vt. According to police, he collapsed at about 8:35 p.m. and on-site Poultney Rescue Squad members attended to him. He was subsequently transported to the Rutland Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 9:58 p.m.
The initial indicators revealed Wohle’s death was medical in nature, police reported. The chief medical examiner conducted an autopsy, with the final diagnosis pending. No further information has been released by police.
Services for William “Cole” Wohle were held on Sunday, Aug. 7, at the Meeting House in Francestown. Following visiting hours and a brief service, Cole was transported by his fire department family to his final resting place at Cemetery Number Three in Francestown, according to a brief obituary posted online.
