Stafford Technical Center students win 53 medals at the Vermont SkillsUSA competition

 

Gold medalists go to national conference in June

SOUTH BURLINGTON—Students from technical centers around Vermont gathered to compete in the statewide SkillsUSA competition, April 7 and 8. These industry skills-based competitions allow students the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned in their studies. Rutland’s Stafford Technical Center sent 73 students to compete. Rutland students earned nine bronze medals, 31 silver medals, and 13 gold medals. Medal winners received tools, prizes and scholarships.

Gold medal winners will be traveling to Louisville, Ky., for the national conference June 20-24.
