Split/Screen features classic films set in Vermont in December

“Welcome Home”
“Baby Boom”

Dec. 18-27—MIDDLEBURY—For the next edition of Split/Screen, a partnership between Vermont International Film Festival (VTIFF )and Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival, VTIFF presents Vermont on Film – films with plots set in the Green Mountain State:  “Baby Boom,” “Welcome Home,” “Johnny Bristol,” “Spellbound” and “Nothing Sacred.” In these films, Vermont is a metaphor for calm, beauty and sometimes a “hick” society.  Each film is different in its take.

In addition to the four films, VTIFF will also offer four post-screening conversations with Green Mountain cinema expert Steve Bissette and VTIFF veteran programmers Luke Baynes and Barbara McGrew.  And all the films, as always, will be available on your phone, tablet, laptop or your big screen television.  More information is at vtiff.org/vtiff-now/split-screen or middfilmfest.org/split-screen.
