Spencer Wood proudly displays his medals, taking podium spots in all four races he competed  in Loon, N.H.

KILLINGTON—Killington Mountain School alpine athlete Spencer Wood just returned from competing at Loon, N.H. in two IPCA (International Paralympic Committee) races and at US Paralympic Nationals. He competed in four races in all: two SL and two GS, taking podium spots and medals in all four. He came in second in both GS races, and third in both SL races.

Wood has now cultivated some great friendships with other athletes on the para-Olympic circuit, and he enjoys catching up with them at these races. In addition to members of Wood’s family, Coach Greg Hadley and KMS teammate Cameron Heald traveled to Nationals with Wood to support him during the races.

This summer Wood will head out West for training before starting his PG year at KMS, during which he will train and continue to compete on the adaptive circuit.
