U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy to speak at BROC annual meeting

Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 1:30 p.m.—RUTLAND—BROC-Community Action in Southwestern Vermont is pleased to welcome U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy as keynote speaker at its 51st annual meeting. The event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 11, noon-1:30 p.m. in the ballroom at the Holiday Inn Rutland on Route 7, Rutland.
“We are very proud of our service to the community and we are excited about presenting our new Community Action Awards,” said Tom Donahue, CEO at BROC-Community Action in Southwestern Vermont.
Sign up for an exciting luncheon to hear from our U.S. Senator and learn about BROC’s great accomplishments from the past year helping people throughout Rutland and Bennington counties. In addition, BROC will be presenting the inaugural Community Action Awards.
The recipients of the first annual BROC Community Action Awards are John Casella, II for his leadership and commitment to the Wheels for Warmth program; Stacy Alderman for her ongoing dedication and support of the Feed the Freezer program; Martha Robertson for 16 successful years at the helm of the Ski for Heat fuel assistance fundraiser; and Marit Lewis for her unwavering commitment to BROC and the people we serve through her volunteerism for nearly 20 years.
In addition, musical entertainment will be provided by the RHS 20-piece Jazz Ensemble. The meeting is open and the public is encouraged to attend. The seated luncheon cost is $29.95 per person. To reserve your seat register at broc.org or call 802-665-1721. RSVP is required.
