Same Sun of Vermont celebrates 10 years with Blackberry Smoke

Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m.— RUTLAND — In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Same Sun of Vermont, Inc. proudly sponsors Blackberry Smoke at The Paramount Theatre on Tuesday, Sept. 28. Tickets to the show are available online at The Heritage Family Credit Union online box office found at paramountvt.org or by calling The Paramount’s box office at 802-775-0903.

“We originally opened Same Sun just a few doors down from The Paramount because we recognized the theatre as the main driver of growth in our local community,” said Philip Allen, co-owner of Same Sun. “Since then, we have enjoyed hosting many events and fundraisers with the theatre.”

Blackberry Smoke is a natural fit for Same Sun. “Like many Vermonters, we love country rock,” said Allen, “and we were thrilled to learn that Blackberry Smoke recorded their recent album, “Live From Capricorn Sound Studios,” in an entirely solar-powered recording studio.” Blackberry Smoke headlines the show as part of its current international tour for the band’s most recent album, “You Hear Georgia.”

Reflecting on this important milestone, SameSun co-owner Marlene Allen added, “We wouldn’t be here without the support of the Rutland community. This concert is an opportunity for us to say, ‘thank you,’ to our customers, employees, friends and neighbors, who are our allies in the battle against climate change.”

Same Sun of Vermont was established in 2011 by Marlene Lederman Allen and Philip Allen of Rutland Town, as a solar-electric design and installation firm headquartered in historic downtown Rutland. Same Sun has designed and installed hundreds of solar arrays for homes, businesses, churches and schools. For more information, visit samesunvt.com.
