Rutland Winterfest—FULL SCHEDULE—Feb. 16-25

UPDATE:

Changes to Winterfest Snow Carving Contest– Ice Sculpting and Chili Cook-Off

Due to the mild weather impacting the region, Rutland Winterfest organizers regret to announce a change to another Winterfest activity, the Snow Carving Competition scheduled for Feb. 17 at Main St. Park.

However, longtime Winterfest Planner and Snow Carving Event Coordinator Russ Marsan has found a solution so that there can still be some beautiful winter artistry in Main St. Park on Feb. 17 during the Chili Cookoff (hosted by the Cairo Shriners) by securing some professional ice-sculptures to come create something spectacular in the park on Saturday.

Marsan shared that “In lieu of snow sculpting, there has been some last minute support there will be an Ice Carving Demo during the chili cook-off.”

Besides, the ice carving demo and the chili cook-off, Come Alive Outside and DJ Brett Myhre will have a teen chill-zone for kids ages 12-18 to come hang out with some surprise activities including some interaction with the magical winter creatures from the Waking Rutland experience that is a new addition to the Winterfest activities this year.  The ice-carving, chili cook-off and teen chill zone with DJ Brett will still take place at Main St. Park on Feb. 17 from Noon-2 p.m.

Rutland WinterFest, a highlight of the winter season, is a vibrant festival offering a diverse range of activities for all ages, showcasing the spirit of community and the joy of winter.
