Rutland Recreation’s Winter Fest 2015 expands to two days

Feb. 14 and 15 at 10 a.m. — RUTLAND — Enjoy and explore the great outdoors at the thirteenth annual Winter Fest being held Saturday, Feb. 14 and Sunday, Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Winter Fest offers a variety of free seasonal activities for the whole family including: ice skating, snow sculpture carving demonstration and hands-on activity, obstacle courses, slacklines, cardboard sled challenge, snowshoeing and much more.

“Winter Fest is one of the many free events Rutland Regional Medical Center supports to build our communities and allow Rutland County residents to get out and play,” said Tom Huebner, CEO of Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Winter Fest kicks-off at Main Street Park on the corner of West Street and Route 7 in Rutland at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 with a snow sculpture carving demonstration and hands on activities along with a variety of other activities. On Sunday, Feb. 15, Winter Fest moves to Giorgetti Park on Oak Street Extension in Rutland. Hot drinks, food and raffles are available both days. Winter Fest participants will also receive a free day pass for the skating rink at Giorgetti Park.

This event is free and open to the public.
